There are ways to prevent Desertification.

• People need to stop burning or destroying their land to farm
• Grazers need to reduce the amount of animals they graze in an area
• Soil erosion can be prevented by mulching (a layer of straw, leaves, or sawdust covering soil) reduces evaporation, suppresses weed growth, enriches soil when it rots, and prevents runoff and erosion
